Palo Alto Networks (then Evident IO) approached Sequoia with a challenge. Their cloud optimization SaaS tool which used AWS APIs across multiple accounts, required integration with the Government’s proprietary authentication/authorization API CAP. They formed a 6-person Tiger Team and integrated their solution into Combine over a course of five months, collaborating with Sequoia staff to confirm functionality. Using Combine’s dashboard, Paloalto was able to identify errors in their code which would prevent the solution from working in the classified cloud.  Once they fixed the errors, Paloalto engineers deployed the solution to the cloud and it was functional on day one.

Splunk wanted to deploy their SaaS into C2S.  They had previously tested their product using a different emulator product.  The test failed and Splunk was told their software solution would not work in C2S.  This obviously was not something Splunk wanted to hear. Through a referral from AWS and Carahsoft, Splunk acquired a monthly Combine license and within a month, they were able to deploy their SaaS into C2S without an issue.

CloudBees wanted to stand up an OpenShift Cluster (mapping to C2S standards) on the classified cloud.  They used Combine to finalize customer testing of their containerized enterprise solution  They used Sequoia engineers to build their required solution and complete required C2S software testing under a tight deadline.

“We attempted to build C2S support into our products by engineering the support with the help of design specifications and then deploying within live C2S environments however, after realizing that our lack of C2S familiarity was resulting in products with C2S connection issues, we felt that our issues were causing brand damage with our long standing customers In a bid to regain their trust we looked for approved C2S testing environments that would allow us to ensure that our products worked correctly on the first try. This is when we found the Sequoia company and their Combine service With Sequoia’s support, we quickly established a presence in their Combine service and within 1 month, was able to qualify two product’s C2S connection capabilities Without Sequoia’s support, we would not have been able to test and qualify our C2S design capabilities and avoid further brand damage Sequoia is a fantastic

Digital Globe won a contract with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and needed to hire 25 software developers to complete the project.  By using Combine, they were able to hire 20 uncleared developers who worked outside of the SCIF.  The hired 5 developers with TS clearances to be able to transfer the code written in Combine to the classified cloud and to access any classified information. They were able to save approximately 20% on software developer salaries by using uncleared developers plus they were able to hire from a larger pool of qualified candidates.

Citrix had been using Combine to successfully deliver multiple applications to the classified cloud regions.  They then used Combine during a proposal to demonstrate that their product would work on C2S.  They were awarded a $64M contract and they directly attribute the use of Combine as a key factor in the award. Given their success testing in Combine, they have used Combine across multiple product lines and for multiple cloud regions.  This enabled them to get their products into new marketplaces soon such as Azure Secret.

Rancher Federal is using the Combine Platform as a sandbox environment to better meet the needs of our classified customers on Platform One.  Combine’s dashboard allows developers to quickly know when their code will not operate in the classified environment.  “In addition to stimulating environments for remote issue triage, our team harnesses Combine’s APIs to enable feature parity into our Multi-Cluster Kubernetes Management tool for customers regardless of if they are operating on the internet or within SC2s/C2s.
